No Layers Here!
This is a half-ogre fighter from the Reaper Bones 4 core set. I like his all business look - no subtlety here! The armor was achieved with VMC Natural Steel over a black base followed by a 50/50 wash of Nuln Oil/Drucci Violet. Then dry-brushed with Lead Belcher and end edge highlighted with VMC Silver. Individual plates were lined with black and final targeted wash of Agrax Earthshade was places towards the bottoms of the larger plates.
Blink and You'll Miss It
This is the Bones version of Blink Berenwicket, Female Gnome by Bobby Jackson which is also available in metal sku# 03732. The armor is painted with some ancient GW green metallic. I experimented with blue metallic on the sword but I'm not overly thrilled with the result but it is good enough to call done :)

Griffons, Gorillas and Owlbears, Oh My!
I managed to knock off several projects from the Reaper Bones 4 core set last weekend and here are the results.
Griffon #82
I was all set the tackle this with a standard eagle-lion look with shades of brown when I found a great drawing of a griffon in blue which inspired the colour scheme.
Ape Attack! Gorilla #84
This is one of the gorillas from the Ape Attack! add on to the Bones 4 Core set.
Owlbear #6
This colour scheme was also inspired by artwork found on Pinterest. I finished this in a day working on it along side my griffon.

I Yearn for Kern
This is a figure that has sat in my grey army for many years. It is a 90 mm Irish Kern c.1570 by Almond Sculptures. It is metal and weighs a ton . I had a problem aligning the spear properly as there weren't any guides for the left arm and "soft" pins on the right. When you look at the figure from certain angles the misalignment is noticeable but I'm not planning on entering any contests with this so I am happy to have finally finished him.

Templar Knight
This is what I've been working on while taking a break from the Bones 4 core set. This is a 1/10 bust from Young Miniatures sculpted by Young B. Song, Templar Knight YH1837.
