Two Heads Are Better Than One
I've been picking up some great tips from the WHTV YouTube channel lately and applied several of them here. I also wanted to do something a little more elaborate with the base so I used some cork tile to build it up. The figure is from Reaper Bones which I am becoming more of a fan of due to their affordability - especially for larger figures like this.

That's Wyrd
This is Colette Du Bois from Wyrd for their game Malifaux. I don't know anything about the game but I liked the steam-punk vibe of this and some of their other figures. I also wanted to try out figures from some different manufactures. All in all, I was pleased with the figure and how it turned out.

Isabeau the Bloody Rose
Here is another Reaper figure. This time it is 03364: Isabeau Laroche, Female Paladin.I was going for a mature, experienced campaigner look for this figure. This is not a bad figure but there is something weird going in in the facial features. They are not very well defined in my opinion. At one point I considered doing this up as an undead knight because of the sunken cheeks and nose.

It's not easy being green
Toad Demon by Reaper. This is the second Bones figure I've done and I'm still not sure about the material. Reaper says you don't need primer which is more or less true but if you start with thin coats the adherence is not so good. The material is a sort of soft plastic which make clean up tricky - you need a sharp knife and a steady hand to trim mold lines. Being pliable is also a pain if details such as weapons are warped. However, you cannot beat the price. You can easily purchase 2-3 times the number of figures for you miniatures budget. For large figures like this one, the challenges are overcome by the value.
